Mariza weier egter botweg.\u00a0Dan ontmoet sy vir professor Joubert Hofmeyr, \u2018n kultuurhistorikus.\u00a0Hulle stamp koppe, maar besef daar is \u2018n komplekse verweefdheid in hulle onderskeie verledes.\u00a0Mariza en Joubert vertrek op \u2018n landsreis na die Kgalikgadi, sodat sy haar woorde kan terugkry en hy meer kan uitvind oor een van sy voorsate.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die reis <\/strong><br><br>Die\u00a0 reis beslaan die grootste deel van die verhaal \u2013 maar dit is nie net die fisiese reis nie. Dit is \u2018n reis deur Mariza se lewe sodat sy by die kern kan uitkom van wat haar daarvan weerhou om weer te skryf; \u2018n reis deur die kollektiewe geheue van geslagte vroue in haar familie wat reis vertel Marize en Joubert om die beurt stories \u2013 en leer s\u00f3 op mekaar se paaie loop om te besef hoe die verlede die hede en die toekoms be\u00efnvloed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die skrywer <\/strong><br><br>SD Fourie is \u2018n ou bekende by RSG-luisteraars.\u00a0 Twee van haar vorige boeke, <em>Die dooies leef <\/em>en <em>Die lanternswaaier<\/em> is voorheen op RSG voorgelees, en verskeie van haar radiodramas is al uitgesaai.\u00a0 Met <em>Droomskip<\/em> het sy in 2008 die eerste prys verower in die RSG Radiodramaskryfkompetisie.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div
