Die pasi\u00ebnt wat die besering opgedoen het, beleef op sy of haar eie manier ook trauma.<\/p>\n<p>In die afgelope paar jaar het Netcare die besluit geneem om gebruik te maak van trauma beraders, nie net vir die pasi\u00ebnt nie, maar ook vir hulle personeel.<\/p>\n<p>Persone wat trauma beleef is bang, onseker en het ondersteuning nodig om hulle deur hierdie donker tyd te neem. Dit is hier waar trauma beraders \u2018n baie belangrike rol speel. Hulle is die spreekbuis tussen die familie, die pasi\u00ebnt en die trauma chirurg.<\/p>\n<p>In die Netcare fasiliteit, Milpark Hospitaal, is daar \u2018n spesiale trauma eenheid, wat die <em>Trauma Resus<\/em> afdeling genoem word.<\/p>\n<p>Ernstige gevalle, wat nie by ander hospitale hanteer kan word nie, word in hierdie afdeling hanteer. Die trauma chirurge wat hier werk, is nie net betrokke by die private hospitaal nie, maar werk ook in staatshospitale.<\/p>\n<p>Die Netcare hospitaal maak dan gebruik van trauma beraders om hulle by te staan.\u00a0\u00a0 Die nood vir hierdie tipe hulp het veral begin ontstaan na 2020, toe ons gekonfronteer was met Covid.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_56867\"
